The learning center titled "Pattern Block Pictures: A Tangram-Style Geometry Activity" enables students to review shapes, practice concepts of geometry, and compose 2-dimensional shapes, which increases their visual-spatial skills.

The learning center is comprised of 8 pattern block pictures that feature fun outlines like a bird, rabbit, butterfly, and seahorse. Easier pages outline each individual shape within the image so students can clearly see how to arrange the pattern blocks to make the picture. Harder images only display the outline, which means they have to figure out which shapes go where.

Materials include all the pattern block pictures, cover image, and bin label that can be printed and put on the folder and bin. It also includes optional block cut-outs, or you can use actual pattern blocks with 1-inch sides.
