This learning center supports early multiplication knowledge by helping students see the connection between multiplication and addition with arrays through the completion of two different activities.

The first activity is a practice worksheet where students draw a line between the multiplication problem and its matching array.

The second activity asks students to choose a multiplication card from the pile. Then, they get to choose a tree and a pile of mini erasers. They create an array that shows the multiplication problem on the card they drew. When they're done, they can use the array to count the erasers and fill in the answer on the card.

Students can use a different tree every time and different erasers every time, which can help them remain focused and complete the activity. All materials are provided in black-and-white for easy copying and printing. You can laminate the materials and have students use dry-erase markers so the learning center can be used again and again.
