Working with coordinate planes is a foundational skill students must learn before tackling higher-level mathematics like graphing linear equations and finding the slope of a line. This learning center makes getting acquainted with coordinate planes fun by asking students to plot ordered pairs and discover what picture it makes!
To complete the learning center, students take a card that features a list of ordered pairs. They take a blank student page and plot the coordinates one by one, drawing a line between each set of coordinates. When they are done, their plotted points will reveal an image like an apple, house, heart, and more.
This learning center includes everything you need to set up the folder so students can complete the learning center independently. It also includes answer pages so you or your students can double-check their work.
