In "The Case of the Missing Shape," Little Circle goes missing. Nan and Papa Shape search high and low in every corner of their home and around Shape Street. Their quest leads them to visit several neighboring shapes, including Rectangles, Squares, Stars, Triangles, and finally, the Hearts, each asserting they haven't seen Little Circle. However, at the Hearts' house, they discover Little Circle playing a game of hide and seek with Little Heart. Relieved and amused by Little Circle's adept hiding skills, Nan and Papa Shape lovingly encourage her to come along. Together, they roll back home down the sidewalk of Shape Street. By reading this storybook, students will learn about different shapes and how to recognize them, including circles, rectangles, squares, stars, triangles, and hearts. The story encourages them to understand spatial relationships, such as inside, outside, upstairs, and downstairs.
