"Wordle-Style Puzzles with Word Finds" is a worksheet that features Wordle-style puzzles on paper so students can complete the popular word game in class.

Each set of worksheets features directions on the first page. They show darker shading for the correct letters that are in the correct spot and lighter shading for the correct letters that are in the wrong spot. The directions also share that a list of letters that haven't been used will be included with each puzzle to help them with their guesses.

Each puzzle is located in a large rectangle with two or three arrangements of six letters with dark and light shading. Based on the clues, students have to figure out what the word is. The correct word can be found in a small word search located below the problem inside the rectangle. The directions tell students whether to look for the word diagonally, across, or down, giving them the chance to double-check their answer.

Some puzzles and brainteasers provide a great way for students to practice their vocabulary and word knowledge. Depending on the puzzle, they can also encourage critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, and strategic thinking.

Wordle is a great example because it requires students to practice their knowledge of letter sounds and combinations to find the missing letters. Word finds and crosswords are easy puzzles for students to complete to practice vocabulary and word knowledge, as are cryptograms and word scrambles.
