1     Los guacamayos escarlata son aves coloridas y ruidosas que viven en la selva tropical. Sus plumas de colores brillantes son rojas, verdes, doradas, azules y violetas. Los guacamayos escarlata gritan y graznan mientras vuelan entre los árboles. Con sus fuertes alas pueden volar hasta 35 millas por hora. Construyen sus nidos muy altos en las copas de los árboles de la selva tropical. Las madres se quedan con los huevos y esperan mientras los padres guacamayo traen alimentos.
