Spending Time in the World of Harry Potter

1     In the year 2000, the fourth Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, was published. By this time, Harry Potter was already a phenomenon. In fact, Harry had been enormously popular from the time he left the home of his mean aunt and uncle to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry back in the first book of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, or Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone as it is known in countries other than the United States.
 
2     By Harry's fourth year at Hogwarts, the year of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry had reached the age of fourteen. In this book, his concerns changed from Quidditch sports competitions to a deadly contest of wizardry. Bigger surprises and bigger dangers faced Harry and his friends than ever before.
 
3     Just as Harry advanced to bigger adventures, the book Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire also reached new heights. It set a record as the fastest selling book ever, selling three million copies in just forty-eight hours. Bookstores opened for midnight Harry Potter events when it first went on sale. And, in a way, Harry was still just getting started. By the time the series was complete, there would be seven books in all, each one a huge best-seller. Children and parents alike loved spending time in Harry Potter's world and waited eagerly for each new book in the series.
