American Terrorist - The Oklahoma City Bombing
By Beth Beutler

1     On April 19, 1995, a tragedy rocked America at the core. No one expected it would happen here, initiated by one of our own. It was an act of American terrorism in the interior of the United States - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Oklahoma City, and America itself, will never be the same.

2     Any act of terrorism tears at the fiber of all American citizens. To have a foreign enemy attack our shores is bad enough. When a fellow American causes mass destruction, the heartbreak and anger is fiercer still.

3     That is what happened that bleak day. Even now, one cannot visit the site, with its museum honoring those injured and killed, and not feel emptiness over what was lost that day.
