La perdiz nival

1     Las perdices nivales son aves del Ártico que viven principalmente en la tundra. Sus cuerpos son redondos y su cola es corta. Tienen alas cortas y redondeadas. Pueden volar, pero pasan la mayor parte del tiempo caminando en el suelo. Tienen plumas en las patas. Esas plumas las ayudan a caminar sobre la nieve.
 
2     Las perdices nivales cambian de color durante el año. En invierno son completamente blancas. Tienen el color de la nieve y por eso es dificil verlas. En primavera se despojan de sus plumas blancas y las cambian por plumas marrones mayormente. Y esto hace que sea difícil verlas en el suelo.
