Electronic Service Technician

Suppose you turn on your TV, and there's no picture. Who can fix your TV set? Your family will probably call an electronic service technician.

Electronic service technicians repair electronic devices. They can work on television sets, DVRs, microwave ovens, stereo systems, computers, and many other gadgets. An electronic service technician needs to be a good problem solver. He or she checks the circuits of the electronic device with instruments such as voltmeters and ammeters. These instruments measure different electrical quantities. If a technician gets a reading that is unusual, then he or she investigates further until the source of the problem is found. Then when the problem is pinpointed, the technician must be able to fix it.
