Skype Netiquette

Emily Post, the famous author who wrote books about etiquette more than sixty years ago, might be surprised at the new kinds of etiquette needed today. She might be intrigued by twenty-first century online etiquette, or netiquette. Netiquette provides rules about the proper and polite way to communicate with other people when you are using the Internet.


One new way of staying in touch is through Skype, a software application that enables people to talk, instant message, and do video calls on the Internet. Skyping can be a fun way to keep up with family and friends, but good manners still apply.
