Baryonyx, or Heavy Claw

The dinosaur Baryonyx (Bare-ee-ON-icks) was named for the single, foot-long claw on each of its hands. Its name means "heavy claw." Not much is known about this theropod dinosaur. Its fossils were first identified in 1983. This carnivorous dinosaur was about 30 feet long and weighed about two tons. Its skull and snout were long and narrow, making this dinosaur resemble a crocodile. It had 96 teeth - twice as many as Tyrannosaurus rex. It probably lived alongside .....
