Students who practice finding quotients in a variety of ways are more likely to remember division facts, which makes learning more complex mathematics easier as they get older. Instead of writing the answer, this learning center asks students to match each division problem with its quotient!

Students pull a division card from the pile. Then, they find the answer that matches on the worksheet. They write the dividend and the divisor in the blanks. For example, if they pull 24 ÷ 6 from the pile, they would locate the problem ___ ÷ ___ = 4 on the worksheet. Then, they would fill in the blanks with 24 and 6.

All the division problems feature single-digit divisors. In addition, the same quotients are grouped on the worksheet. For example, there are two equations with 3 as an answer. Students write the equations in the same box. This enables them to practice multiplicative reasoning to see how the same group of numbers can be rearranged in multiplication and division problems to get the same result.
