Oh, Say Can You See?

1     How good is your vision? Can you see clearly for twenty feet? Can you see clearly for fifty feet? That would be good if you were a person. It wouldn't be very good for an owl. An owl can see a mouse moving over 150 feet away with light no brighter than a candle!
 
2     Our eyes give us the sense of sight. It lets us learn more about our world than we do with any of the other four senses. We use our eyes in almost everything we do. We use them when we read, watch television, write a letter, or ride a bicycle.
 
3     Our eyes let us see the shapes, colors, and sizes of things. Our eyes can see bright light and dim light. They cannot see objects when there is no light.
