Honor - Mount Rushmore

1     The faces of four United States presidents are carved into Mt. Rushmore. Mount Rushmore is located in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Mount Rushmore honors George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, and Thomas Jefferson. These four men were presidents of the United States. They brought about great changes. Sculptor Gutzon Borglum knew he had his work cut out for him. The granite carvings took him fourteen years to create. Millions of people visit Mount Rushmore each year.
 
2     To honor someone is to show respect and often thankfulness, too. These presidents are honored and respected for their honesty. They were also wise and brave leaders. Mount Rushmore is a grand place for Americans to visit. While there, many give thanks for the .....
