Helicopters
By Cindy Grigg

1     Caption: Kern County Fire Department (California) helicopter dropping water on a fire

2     Helicopters are machines that fly. They are not like airplanes, though. Airplanes can go up in the air. They can land back on the ground. When in the air, airplanes can go forward. They can turn to the right or left. They can't go backward. Airplanes must move forward to be able to fly. Airplanes can fly forward very fast! If you're taking a long trip and want to get there quickly, airplanes are the best choice.
