Simple?

By Jody Williams
1     "I don't understand it. But for that matter I don't understand how a spider learned to spin a web in the first place. When the words appeared, everybody said they were a miracle. But nobody pointed out that the web itself is a miracle."--Charlotte's Web by E.B. White

2     Some say that E.B. White was a simple man. He lived a simple life. He enjoyed simple things. He was a writer. He shared his love for simple things in his writing. Many think that spider webs are simple. White chose to look at it differently. He wanted his readers to think of a simple web as a miracle.

3     Elwyn Brooks White was born on July 11, 1899. He was born in New York. His father was a piano maker. His parents were older when Elwyn was born. He was the youngest child of a large family. His parents loved children.
