1 "This sure is tasty," Rita said to Aunt Becky as she sipped a sample of punch that her aunt was preparing for the baby shower.
2 "Is it too sweet?" Aunt Becky asked with concern in her voice.
3 Rita took another sip. "I don't think so. I think you have the mixture just right."
4 Aunt Becky continued to stir the punch. She had mixed fruit juice, ginger ale, some sugar, and some chunks of fruit in a large bowl. In an hour or so, guests would start arriving for Rita's sister's baby shower. She wanted everything--including the punch--to be perfect.
5 Rita asked for another small cupful of punch. As Aunt Becky poured it, Rita said, "I wonder when people first started making punch."
