Too Much Chocolate
By Phyllis Naegeli 1 "Mmm," said Keziah, tossing her head back and popping another chocolate candy into her mouth. "I love chocolate." Keziah's long red hair fell over the back of the chair as she chewed on her treat. 2 "Me, too," said Becka. "It tastes so good." 3 "I wonder what it would be like to eat chocolate all day," Keziah said thoughtfully, looking over another piece of candy. 4 Becka looked through the box of candy for another piece. "Sounds wonderful!" 5 "We got lots of candy on Christmas," Keziah said with a sly grin. "How about today?" 6 Becka's bright green eyes lit up. "I'm up for it." 7 "Then today we eat nothing but chocolate!" said Keziah, taking a bite of another piece and savoring the taste. 8 "We could probably do it for two days with all the chocolate we have," said Becka as she finished a dark chocolate covered cherry. 9 "I don't know if Mom would let us. We're going to need to convince her." 10 "We might as well go ask," said Becka, rising from her chair and grabbing her twin sister's arm. "Come on." 11 The girls went to find Mom and found her in the den sorting through Christmas boxes. 12 "Hi, Mom," said Keziah. 13 Mom looked up from her project. "Oh, hi girls. What have you been doing?" Paragraphs 14 to 43: For the complete story with questions: click here for printable Feedback on Too Much Chocolate
