Kara's Kite and the Big Wind

1 Kara looked out the window as she ate her oatmeal. The trees were swaying. She smiled at her brother.
2 "What a great day to fly a kite!" she said. She dropped her spoon into her bowl.
3 Manny, whose real name was much longer, shook his head. "It is too windy. Your kite would get broken."
4 Kara looked at Manny. Then she crossed her eyes and stuck out her tongue.
5 "I'm just telling you," Manny said with a shrug. He held up his toast and took a bite.
