1     Iron is an element. It naturally forms in the earth. It is a metal that can be used for many things. Iron is found in the ground. It is removed from the ground by mining. The rocks and minerals that contain iron are called iron ore. Some iron ore mines can be found in Michigan and Minnesota. There are different grades of iron ore. High grade means there is a lot of iron in the rock. Low grade means there isn't as much iron in the rock. Most of the high grade iron .....
