1     Sam's grandma lived in the country. She grew a big garden each summer. She had pink flowers around the edges of the garden. Sam liked to pick vegetables for Grandma. She would use them for dinner. Grandma gave him a basket. She told him what to pick. Grandma made a game out of it. She gave Sam a hint about what kind of veggies she wanted each day. One day she told him to pick some red shiny balls from the garden. Smart Sam picked tomatoes! Another day, she told him to get some long orange veggies that had green fluffy tops. Smart Sam dug carrots out of the soft black dirt. Today Grandma told him to pick some veggies that had their own protective pouch. She told him the long pouch would look as though it had small balls in it. The long pouch was .....
