1 When you go out to eat, you want everything to be perfect. But sometimes a meal out is a huge disappointment. What should you do? One of the best things to do is politely let the restaurant know that you are unhappy with your meal.
2 Restaurant managers want to keep their customers happy. Happy customers come back to the restaurant and eat again. Unhappy customers tell other people they were unhappy with their meal. This can hurt a restaurant's business. In order for the restaurant to be successful, it needs people to keep coming back.
3 It is okay to complain about food that you are served, even though you may eat the meal anyway. You are paying for the meal. You should enjoy it. If you don't, you should let the restaurant know.
4 There are two things to remember when complaining about a meal. Always be polite, no matter how unhappy you are. Rude people are rarely listened to. The second is to complain when the meal comes, not after you have eaten it. How can you tell a server that you didn't like the meal if you already ate all of it?
5 If the meal comes and it is cold, tell the server right away. Food that is supposed to be served hot should always come to your table that way. Call your server to the table and send the food back to the kitchen.
