A bully is a person who picks on people. Bullies can be boys or girls. Bullies try to upset other people. They like to frighten them. They may tease them. Bullies don't let the people they pick on join their games. They may spread stories about them that are untrue. Some bullies want kids to cry or react in some way. Bullies can hurt people with words, actions, and fists. Are you a bully?


Sometimes kids do things that they think are funny, but they hurt others without even knowing it. Do you tease people until they cry or get angry with you? Then you are a bully.


Do you call other kids names that you wouldn't want to be called? Then you are a bully.


Do you take things that belong to other kids - maybe play "keep away" with them? Then you are a bully.


Do you push people around to get your own way? Then you are a bully.
