Barbara Bush

Barbara Pierce was born in 1925. Her family lived in New York. She met George H. W. Bush at a dance when she was 16. They were engaged to be married a year and a half later. George left to fight in World War II. They were married when George came home on leave. George and Barbara had six children. Their daughter, Robin, died before she was four. She had leukemia.
