Keith Interviews Ana, the Imperial Amazon Parrot

"Good morning. I'm Keith Trace, the host of Amazing Animals. My guest today flew here - and I mean she actually flew here - from the Commonwealth of Dominica. Her name is Ana, and she's an Imperial Amazon parrot. Hi, Ana. Nice to have you here."

"Nice to be here, Keith."

"Let's start with where you're from. Where exactly is Dominica?"

"It's an island nation in the eastern Caribbean Sea. It's a small and beautiful place. Most of the island has tropical rain forests. We have lots of waterfalls, springs, and rivers. You really should come visit, Keith."

"I'd love to, especially if your home is as pretty and colorful as you are."

"Thanks, Keith."

"So tell our audience today a little bit about yourself."

"Being a parrot, I'm a larger bird. I'm actually the largest of the Amazon parrot family, and I think I'm the most colorful. I can grow up to eighteen inches tall. I've got a green back, a purple neck, a reddish tail with green on the end, and a green underside. If I may say so, I'm quite a pretty bird."
