Letter from a Williamsburg Maze

Honored Sir and Madam,

I apologize for the brevity of this letter. I have but a few moments before I must return to my duties. However, I know the concern you feel regarding the distance that separates us. Let me assure you that life in the Virginia colony is going very well. I continue to make friends here in Williamsburg. You will be delighted to learn that I was recently a guest for dinner at the Governor's Palace!

My friend Gideon attended with his sisters, Abigail and Modesty. Modesty is a fetching young woman. I am certain you would find her delightful. There is no time to say more about that matter. Let me move along to the highlight of the evening.
