Loud and Soft

Kevin was walking in the hallway of the museum. He was trying to find the group he came with. He was starting to get worried because he could not find them. Then he heard music. Kevin stopped outside of two doors. He pressed his ear up to a door. Kevin slowly opened the doors. It was dark except for the stage. There he saw four people. Kevin whispered the word quartet. They each played an instrument. The music was beautiful. Kevin took a seat in the back row. He did not want to interrupt. The music was so relaxing that Kevin forgot all about being worried. Just then the music grew louder. Kevin's eyes grew bigger. The sounds grew and grew. He whispered forte. Kevin learned that when music is played loudly, musicians describe it as forte. Just as Kevin thought that the sounds could not get bigger, the music changed. It became much slower. Then the music was quiet as if someone were sleeping and the musicians did not want to disturb the sleep. Kevin whispered piano. Piano means quiet .....
