Meet Triceratops

Triceratops (try-SAIR-ah-tops) means "three horned face." This dinosaur had a horn above each eye. Each of these horns were nearly four feet long! It had a shorter horn above its nose. It had a heavy body that was twenty-five feet long. It looked a little like a rhinoceros. Its head was huge! It also had a huge neck frill. The neck frill was like a collar of bone to protect its neck. Triceratops ate plants. It lived from about 68 million years ago. Fossils of these dinosaurs have been found in the U.S. and Canada.
