The Best Thanksgiving Ever

Mary Mouse and Will Worm were very busy. They were baking pies. The pies were for Thanksgiving in the meadow. All the animals were bringing food.

Dan and Donna Duck were bringing a big bowl of fruit.

Peter Porcupine had baked his best acorn pudding.

Bob Bear and Curtis Cat had made cookies.

Tim and Tom Turtle were bringing three-bean salad.

Sid and Sara Sheep had made soup. (They were bringing their three little lambs, too.)

There were a lot of animals, and they were all bringing something special for the dinner.

"Mary, do you think everyone will get along?" Will asked.

"Well, I think so," Mary said. "It is Thanksgiving, after all!"

"I know, but you know how sometimes Bob likes to scare the others," Will said. "The last time he roared at them, the little lambs cried."

"I don't think he will do that," Mary said. "There will be too much good food to eat. I think everyone will behave."

Just then Dean Dog barked.
