Too Many Davids

Mark's head hurt.

Tomorrow is the day of the Miller family picnic.

When Mark was just a baby, his family moved to Florida. All his aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents lived in Montana.

Last week Mark and his family got on a plane. They flew to Butte, Montana. Grandpa David came to the airport. He took them home. Grandma Polly met them at the door.

It was fun staying with his grandfather and grandmother. He got to sleep in the loft. He and his father went fishing with Grandpa David. At night Grandpa David told stories about when Mark's father was a little boy.

"Andy was a good son. He and his siblings never got in trouble at school. Oh, but when they were at home, Andy got into something almost every day!" Grandpa David laughed.

Tonight had been different, though.

"Mark, I think it is time for you to see pictures of some of your family," Grandpa David said. "You will meet all of them tomorrow."

Grandpa David held out a picture of a tall man, a woman, and three little boys. "That's your father's brother, his wife, and sons," he said.
