"What kind of words are these, anyway?" I thought to myself. I was beginning to wonder why I had entered the Spelling and Definition Bee!


I have always been a good speller. But it is hard for me to remember the meanings of the words I spell. That's what makes this contest different. We were given a list of 200 words and their definitions. I studied. I really did. I just don't remember some of these words being on the list!


My turn is coming. Only two people are in front of me!
