What's a Blizzard?

You might say that a blizzard is an extreme snowstorm. A blizzard may bring lots of snow. It may have very strong winds of thirty-five miles per hour or more. It may bring very cold air. A blizzard blows so much snow that it makes it hard to see very far. Blizzards last for three hours or more. A blizzard happens when two kinds of air masses meet that have extreme differences. A very low pressure air mass meets a very high pressure air mass. Then extreme things happen! Blizzards can bury fences and cars under snow. It can be very dangerous to be outside in a blizzard.
