What's on Your Plate?

It's dinner time. What's on your plate? Is it full of junk? I hope not! Eating real junk would make you sick. Eating too much junk food could make you sick too. Eating healthy foods, on the other hand, can help you have a healthy body. The USDA wants to help you choose healthy foods. They suggest that at least one half of your dinner plate be filled with fruits and veggies. When choosing fruits and veggies, remember that color counts. Different colored fruits and vegetables contain different nutrients. So don't get stuck in a red rut; load up on green, orange, and yellow fruits and veggies too!
