2     Robert Peary tried for twenty years to be the first man to reach the North Pole. During those twenty years, he led two missions, and both missions failed. Peary became very frustrated. He never gave up on his dreams. Robert Peary persevered by trying over and over again until he was able to reach the North Pole.
