Red-Eyed Tree Frogs

1 Would you be surprised if you suddenly saw two bright red eyes looking at you? The red-eyed tree frog flashes its big red eyes when a predator appears. The frog also shows its orange feet and bright blue and yellow sides. Seeing all this color might surprise the predator. The red-eyed tree frog would have enough time to run away. This method of escaping from a predator is known as startle coloration.
