1     The USDA wants you to move -- but not to a new home or a new seat. It wants you to run, climb, and jump your way to a physically active life. The USDA suggests that kids ages 6-17 engage in sixty minutes of moderate or vigorous physical activity each day. The majority of that activity should be aerobic. Aerobic exercise strengthens your heart. Any physical activity that makes your heart beat faster and makes you breathe harder is considered aerobic exercise. Part of your activity, however, should also strengthen your bones and your muscles. Jumping and activities like it help to promote bone growth. This is especially important for kids. Push-ups, climbing obstacles, and lifting weights all strengthen your muscles. .....
