By Kathleen W. Redman
1     Do you like movies? Going to a movie theater is fun. There are lots of great things there. There is a movie, of course! There are lots of sounds. There are lots of people. There's lots of food, too!

2     What kind of food is at a movie theater? There's candy. There are many kinds of candy. There are sweet drinks. But most important, there is popcorn! Do you like popcorn?

3     Three things make popcorn. First, there's dried corn. There's also oil and heat. When all three meet, look out! The kernels of corn start pop, pop, popping! Kernels burst into funny-shaped pieces of popcorn!
