The bright yellow sign had black letters saying "Welcome to the Egg House!"
Mary and her family were camping nearby in an RV park in the mountains. Each year they came to this little town to enjoy a weekend away. The town had several unique shops and restaurants. This morning they had decided to drive into town for breakfast.
The Egg House had been founded in 1943 by a Mr. and Mrs. Wilson. It was still run by the Wilson family. It did a very good business, such a good one that people were always lined up to go inside. Today was no exception.
"I didn't expect the line to be quite this long," Dad said. He had just driven past the restaurant in an attempt to find a parking place. "Maybe you and Mom should get out and save us a spot."
Dad went around the block and then slowed near the restaurant. Mom and Mary got out quickly, and he drove on.
"I hope he will get back before we reach the front of the line," Mary said.
"I don't think that will be a problem," Mom answered.
While they waited, Mom and Mary talked about the menu. "This place serves eggs in more ways than any other place I have ever seen," Mom said.
