That's a No-Brainer!

By Beth Beutler
"Well, that's a no-brainer," Cal said to Andrew.

Andrew looked over at his friend, who was reading a magazine. "What?"

"I'm reading this magazine about backpacking, and it says to always take water on a hike," Cal explained.

"Oh, that seems like common sense to me, too," Andrew said.

"It says here that people often don't think of taking enough water," Cal went on. "In fact, sometimes people just head out on a trail and end up going farther than they expected."

"Then they don't have supplies that they could use, right?" Andrew cut in.

"Right. I'd never dream of going hiking without water and other items."

"What else do you take?" Andrew asked.
