2 Do you sometimes feel like you are rushing through your day? Do you feel as though you are always saying "I've got to run"? People run, rush, and dash to appointments, classes, and jobs. Some people even rush to do something relaxing. Hurrying seems like a normal part of life, but there is one silly holiday that might help people slow down. World Sauntering Day is a day to walk slowly and take your time.
3 In order to properly saunter, it might be a good idea to understand the definition of the word. Saunter is a word that sounds a little bit like what it means. According to Merriam-Webster, to saunter means "to walk about in an idle or leisurely manner." According to this online dictionary, this word is in the bottom 50% of lookups on Merriam-Webster.com. Maybe this is because people who saunter are too relaxed to care about looking up the word!
