I Can, Can You?

By Kathleen W. Redman
1     Dear Friends,

2     I am in first grade, just like you. I like to play games, just like you. I like to laugh and have fun, just like you. I am happy sometimes and sad sometimes, just like you.

3     I am different, too. I have blue eyes. Your eyes may be brown or green. I like football. Maybe you like baseball or swimming. I am good at telling stories. You may be good at reading. You can do many things very fast. Sometimes I do them slower.

4     We are alike and we are different. It is fun to be alike and different.

5     Love,

6     Stacey

7
You work so fast when you do your math.

8     You make mistakes and have to erase.
