They were going to share their middle names with the class. 3 Mark was nervous. His middle name is Theodore. He thought everyone would laugh. 4 Lee was nervous. Her middle name is Gertrude. She thought everyone would laugh. 5 John was nervous. His middle name is Carlton. He thought everyone would laugh. 6 Almost everyone was nervous. They thought everyone would laugh at their middle names. 7 "Good morning," Mrs. Martin said. 8 "Good morning," the children said. 9 "I will call your first name," Mrs. Martin said. "Then you tell everyone your middle name." 10 "Oh, no, please!" the children said. "Everyone will laugh." 11 "I think you are wrong," Mrs. Martin said. 12 "My middle name is silly," Bill said. "I will not tell anyone. I don't want people laughing at me!" 13 "I will go first," Mrs. Martin said. "My middle name is Morningeagle."
