By Beth Beutler
1 There she goes again, walking through the house carrying my socks and dropping them on the floor! I wonder why she does that. I can't figure out why Millicent is fascinated with my socks - maybe she has cold feet! All I know is that I come home and find my socks scattered everywhere.
2 Of course, Mom tells me, "Daniel! Pick up your socks!" and Dad says, "How many times do we have to tell you to keep your clothes off the floor?"
3 I've tried to tell them that Millicent is the culprit, but they never see her with the socks. I really don't want to get her in trouble. We adopted her last year, and she so enjoys being part of our family. Of course, this leaves me picking up dirty socks every day after school while she sits innocently in the corner of the room. She almost grins at me as if to say, "Ha, ha, I got you!"
