By Phyllis Naegeli
Marielle's dark brown eyes opened wide as she stared at the candy display in the grocery store. She pulled a dollar bill out of the pocket of her blue jeans and held it tightly in her hand. "I don't know which one I want," she mumbled as she looked over her choices.
Jason walked up behind her and tugged on her ponytail.
"Ouch!" Marielle cried as she turned to her brother. "What do you want?"
"What are you doing?" asked Jason.
"I'm trying to decide which candy bar to buy."
Jason frowned. "Oh."
"Is something wrong?"
Jason hung his head. "No. Go ahead, pick out a candy bar."
"Do you have any money?" Marielle asked.
Jason stuck his hand in his jacket pocket. "Yes. I have a dollar."
Marielle smiled. "So do I. I'm going to use it to buy myself something. What are you going to do with yours?"
