Springtime - Outdoors, Here We Come!

1     Brr! It is cold outside. Are you looking forward to spring? The season after winter is spring. Springtime means warmer weather. The Earth is tilted on its axis. This causes the Earth's seasons. During part of the year, the northern hemisphere is tilted toward the sun. It is summer. At the same time, the southern hemisphere is tilted away from the sun. There it is winter. As the Earth orbits the sun, the focus of the sun's energy shifts from one hemisphere to the other. As winter in the northern hemisphere comes to an end, days slowly get longer. The northern hemisphere begins to get more of the sun's energy. This causes warmer weather. Spring begins on March 20. Spring is the season when the trees get their leaves. It is also the time when you can go outside again! Most people stay inside during the cold months of winter. Many people .....
