Traditional Pots
By Mary Lynn Bushong

1     "Alice, can you go with me to the clay site? I need to gather enough clay to make some pots."
2     "Sure, Mom," said Alice as she put the broom she was using back into the corner. "How much clay do you want to get this time?"
3     "I only want enough for this week. After I go through all of the steps to prepare the clay, I think I will only have time to make three pots," said Mom.
4     "I will get one basket and the digging tools then," Alice said. She picked up the tools and basket and walked out of the house with her mother.
