Tinker Bell Takes a Flight
By Colleen Messina

1     Even though her namesake was a fictional fairy, tiny Tinker Bell never expected to fly. The miniscule Chihuahua was spending some time at a flea market in Michigan with her owners, hoping, of course, not to pick up any real fleas. Imagine her surprise when a 70 mph wind lifted her up, up, and away!

2     The tiny puppy's owners were frantic. They could not believe that their little pet was gone with the wind. The small, black dog only weighed about six pounds, so the strong winds easily lifted her off the ground in a flash. The wind that swept the puppy away was blowing at about 70 mph, which meant it was almost a hurricane-force wind.
