2     Imagine a place so hot that nothing could survive there. No plants. No animals. Nothing. Not even bacteria can survive.
 
3     This place is in the Lut Desert. It is the hottest place on Earth. The ground temperature was once measured at almost 160 degrees Fahrenheit! Even at night, temperatures don't get much lower than 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
