What Is a Passport?

1     Planning a trip is fun. There are many details to plan. The list includes making reservations and arranging your schedule. You also need to pack. Traveling abroad also means having a passport.
 
2     A passport is issued by a government. A passport is an official document issued by the government of a country to one of its citizens and, varying from country to country, authorizing travel to foreign countries and authenticating the bearer's identity, citizenship, right to protection while abroad, and right to reenter his or her native country.
